KP '09 Weekly Update

Hello everyone! As the weeks close in and Pride approaches, we're going to try and keep the communication lines WIDE open and the information teeming. Here's the current status of things:
1. Pride kits are nearly assembled. We've ran through the donations we did get (MUCH appreciated at that) and almost covered everything. Anything at this point will help :)
2. KC and Elka ARE coming. So put on your big girl panties and get to San Diego.
3. We are going to need to confirm who will be in San Diego for the welcome dinner Saturday July 25th at 6 pm and the farewell breakfast on August 1st. Watch out for more information regarding this in your emails and your forum inboxes.

Let us know if you guys have questions and we'll do our best to get them answered asap. :)

Donations

Hello All!

We wanted to take some time to thank those that have donated money to Pride this year, big or small. It all helps.

Just to clarify, the donations aren't being pocketed by Mia or myself. This is strictly for your welcome kits, which without any donations, are coming straight out of my pocket. I love you all dearly, but times are tough.

Anyone who donates any amount will automatically get their name printed in the itinerary. Those who donate over $20 will receive an extra gift at the conclusion of Pride.

Thank You!!!

See you in a few weeks!
Bri.

Are you ready?

LADIES!! It's that time of the year again--
the time to get excited because KP09 is 47 days away.
That's right, we're counting down to it. And you should be, too.

If you don't already know the lowdown, Kelka Pride will be held in San Diego from July 25th to August 1st, 2009. If you can't make it for the entire week, just come for a weekend! The first weekend will probably be the best since during the last weekend we'll be saying all our goodbyes and whatnot.

If you don't know the first thing about housing, check out the forum for some ideas. Cheap housing can be easily found with hostels. If you can't find roommates for a beach house, you might want to check out some hotels. Anywhere around Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, downtown or Hillcrest are some great options.

And if you've already got housing and plane tickets and you haven't filled out the short survey yet, please go ahead and do that now! It's a basic survey that will allow Bri and I to get a verified head count as well as see what kinds of activities people are most excited to do!

We've supplied a donation button on the left hand side in case anyone is in the giving mood. Bri is kindly making the Pride Guides, maps, and other goodies for the welcome kits for everyone, so if you have any money to spare we would greatly appreciate it!

Finally, if you have any questions at all, please let us know--leave a comment or get to us on the forum.

We're super excited and we hope you are too!!
