So close!

All of you should have gotten an e-mail from us letting you know where to meet up on the first night. If you haven't received this e-mail, but you are attending KP09, please let us know (kpsandiego09@gmail.com).

With only 4 more days, I don't even know what to say!
If anyone has any questions, comment, concerns, leave a comment or e-mail us.
Make sure that you are following us on twitter and that your mobile updates are turned ON at least just for us--this way you can have a live feed of information/events when necessary changes are made on the trip.

Scroll a few posts down to the checklist to make sure you're bringing everything you need to.
Double check your flights before you leave for the airport!
Make sure car arrangements are set up and that you have a way from the airport to your house.

Those of you who have houses, find out how you are going to get the house key, how many there are, and if there is only 1, who gets it.

Bri and I are suggesting that each house nominate a House Captain so that we can be more organized and know who to pass information onto directly.

Other than those little details, we're pretty much all set and we cannot wait to see you all!

Deadlines

Hey girls,

We have a few deadlines approaching fast:

1. If you for some reason haven't confirmed your presence at KP at all, DO SO NOW.

2. If you haven't replied to the email about dinner/t-shirts, try and get that done Tuesday, Wednesday at the LATEST.

3. If you haven't donated yet and would like to, donations need to be in by July 18th (Saturday) if you want your name printed in the itinerary. If you're not concerned, donate up to the day of pride.

To those of you who donated, thank you so much! I'm really glad that I didn't have to shell out as much as I thought I would. :)

What to bring to KP09

Freaking out because it's less than 2 weeks until Kelka Pride?!
Me too. That's why I've compiled a basic checklist for those of you who like to pack last minute. This way you hopefully won't forget to bring those important things that you might need.

For the trip in general
-Spending money and credit/debit card
-Your ID, passport, some type of identification, etc.
-Car insurance if you’re renting a car
-Changes of clothing (including extra socks, bras, panties)
-Feminine hygiene products, makeup, toothbrush and toothpaste
-Medications (Tums, Advil, Rx) and contacts/eyewear
-Bathing/swimming suit and some towels along with any beach equipment
-Hat or visor and sunglasses for sun protection
-Sunscreen
-Camera and camera cord
-Batteries (for everything. camera. watch. vibrator. what?)
-Cell phone and charger
-Laptop and charger
-A deck of cards, board game, or DVDs of some sort
-Stuffed animals or blankets that you can’t sleep without
-A (comic) book or two to read when we’re not all together

For the beach
Don’t forget to bring:
-A tote/bag to carry your stuff
-Sunglasses
-Towels
-Sunscreen and lots of it
-Your bathing suit and a change of clothing
-Drinking water (it's hot out there)

You might want to bring:
-Hat
-Beach chair and/or umbrella
-Sports equip. like a beach volleyball
-Your latest book you’re reading
-Cooler for your dranks yall
-Camera
-Beach accessories (Frisbee, pails, etc)

For the bonfire
Don’t forget to bring:
-Bug spray

You might want to bring:
-Anything you want to burn (pictures of an ex girlfriend, an old work shirt, etc)
-Coals or wood/tinder
-Food (marshmallows for smores, hot dogs, etc)
-Cooler for drinks. And drinks. And ice.
-A guitar to serenade all the ladies, you sexy babe

Things to bring to a Kelkian Party*
Alcohol.

You might want to bring:
-Plastic cups or ping pong balls
-A flask
-Extra beer or liquor (it’s always nice to help out)
-Deck of cards for games
-Dental dams ;)

*There might be a couple of little parties here and there.
But Bri has planned a little get together at our beach house on one of the last nights that will be sort of a potluck kind of a deal.
We're going to have each separate house (considering there are only about 4) bring a meat and some sides. Then we'll grill those babies up and serve it. Talk about tasty.
We'll also probably have some little activities like card games and beer pong and other silly games.

KP '09 Weekly Update

Hello everyone! As the weeks close in and Pride approaches, we're going to try and keep the communication lines WIDE open and the information teeming. Here's the current status of things:

1. Pride kits are nearly assembled. We've ran through the donations we did get (MUCH appreciated at that) and almost covered everything. Anything at this point will help :)

2. KC and Elka ARE coming. So put on your big girl panties and get to San Diego.

3. We are going to need to confirm who will be in San Diego for the welcome dinner Saturday July 25th at 6 pm and the farewell breakfast on August 1st. Watch out for more information regarding this in your emails and your forum inboxes.

Let us know if you guys have questions and we'll do our best to get them answered asap. :)
